Information about Recycling at “The Water Guy”™
 |
Our 3 and 5 gallon bottles are sanitized and reused dozens of times before they are removed from circulation. In fact, this common practice of sanitizing and reusing bottles has earned the bottled water industry the title as one of the “original recyclers”. |
 |
All bottled water containers from individual serving size to the 3 and 5 gallon containers taken out of circulation are fully recyclable. |
 |
These bottles can become a variety of products such as carpet fibers, packaging products and even T-shirts during the recycling process. |
 |
Plastic beverage bottles are among the most recycled products in the U.S. - Not only are our bottles recycled at “The Water Guy”™ but also 95% of all corrugated boxes that we receive our raw materials in are sorted, stored, crushed and recycled. The other 5% of corrugated boxes are used to ship out items sent out UPS. |

There are so many different ways and reasons to recycle, and we want to hear yours!
Check out Donna’s Recycling Story that got her a Free Recycled T-Shirt!
I have recycled for over 20 years. I recycle everything that they will take--paper, cans, bottles, glass, etc. My friends call me "The Great Recycler" (to the tune of the Great Pretender"). I live in an apt. complex on the 5th floor, but I take the elevator down and walk down the lot to the recycle bins twice a week. And I am 61 with disabilities---so it's hard work for me.
I see younger, stronger guys and women sticking bottles and cans down the trash compactor which goes to the landfill! I've heard excuses "It's too hot, It's too cold, I don't want my kitchen all clogged up with that stuff", etc.
Most of it is just plain laziness and not caring about our beautiful country and earth. It makes me want to cry sometimes when I see people just discard water bottles anywhere instead of taking them home and putting them in the recycling. How much effort does that take???
I have a tote bag made from recycled plastic bottles and I love it--it feels so soft and just like cotton cloth. I would love to have a T-shirt!!!
Thank you and keep up your good work.
